Welcome by Storz & Bickel !

In 1996, Markus Storz began with the development of vaporizers and filed a patent for the removable valve balloon of the "Volcano Inhaler" in January 1998, followed by the patent filed in August 2000 for his invention of the heating block as a heat exchanger for "Hot Air Extraction Inhalers". In the same year, the company "Vapormed Inhalatoren" was founded and the production and sale of the "Volcano" Vaporizer began. Jürgen Bickel was one of the first customers.

The continuously increasing demand required restructuring, so in December 2002, "Storz & Bickel GmbH & Co.KG" was founded. Markus Storz and Jürgen Bickel became equal partners and pressed quickly ahead with the expansion of the company. In April 2004, new offices were opened on "Rote Strasse" in Tuttlingen, Germany, and in March 2005, the subsidiary "Storz & Bickel America, Inc." started business in Oakland, California in order to be able to offer American customers direct and quick sales and repair service.

At the same time, the "Volcano Vaporization System" has been continuously improved and further developed. In August 2006, then, the new " Easy Valve" patent was filed and, starting from May 2007, was produced and put on the market, together with the newly developed " Volcano Digit" hot air generator. In the same month, the sales numbers of the "Volcano Classic" and the "Solid Valve" exceeded 50 thousand each.

Today (status: Oct. 2010), Storz & Bickel presents itself as an innovative, growing company with 32 employees in Tuttlingen and 5 employees in Oakland.

From Research and Development to Quality Assurance, Production, Sales and Shipping, everything is located under one roof here. This constellation offers our customers the guarantee of high-quality products with an ideal price/performance ratio and, last but not least, first class service.

Since December 2009, the Storz & Bickel company has been certified as a manufacturer of high-quality vaporizers according to DIN EN ISO 9001. Storz & Bickel is therefore the first and currently only manufacturer of herbal vaporizers which has a certified quality management system recognized around the world. The implementation of the quality management system impressively confirms the high quality of our production processes. All operation procedures are systematically inspected and evaluated every 3-6 months by an independent testing institute.
